Meters for radio readings

Meters of all energy utilities (water, heat, gas and electricity) and even utilities such as air or steam as well as various types of sensors (e.g. temperature, humidity) can work in the radio reading system. Energy media meters are usually equipped with radio communication modules with the wireless M-Bus or LoRaWAN protocol. You can also include so-called pulse meters that are connected to universal radio modules with pulse input. This allows existing meters to be included in the system.

Due to the structure, AMR and AMI radio reading systems can be distinguished. AMR systems are collection systems, also known as walkby or driveby, and require the involvement of a human in the reading process. Their unquestionable advantage is low price, easy implementation and high reliability. AMI-type systems require building your own or using existing, third-party communication infrastructure. The undoubted advantage of AMI systems is their high functionality and lack of human involvement in the reading process.
